Who we support
We are best suited for adults in California with anxiety disorders and depression.
In addition to patients with anxiety and depression, we can also take patients who have been diagnosed with the below conditions. However, we are only able to treat their anxiety and/or depression.
While Prairie is working to expand our support to more patients, we are currently unable to take patients with the following
Our doctors are able to work with any non-controlled substances, including SSRIs, NDRIs, SNRIs and alpha-agonists. Most of the cases, our members work with one (or more) of the following medications:
SSRIs: Citalopram, Escitalopram, Fluoxetine, Fluvoxamine, Paroxetine, Sertraline.
SNRIs: Atomoxetine, Buspirone, Desvenlafaxine, Duloxetine, Venlafaxine.
TCAs: Amitryptyline, Desipramine, Nortryptyline.
Others: Bupropion, Trazodone, Topiramate, Propranolol.
Why work with Prairie?
To make sure your patient get the best possible care, Prairie only works with ABPN-certified MDs. (No PMHNPs or generalists.)
Intake meetings are available within days of signing up, followed by two psychiatry appointments within the month.
Coordination of Care
Everyone who signs up is assigned a dedicated Care Partner, who aids in care coordination by providing you proactive updates on care.
Refer a patient.
Join our referral program.
We frequently make referrals for current or prospective members. We prioritize providers who are affordable and convenient for our members and who provide evidenced-based care.
Research shows that therapy and medication together lead to better outcomes, so we encourage all our members to work with a therapist. Most Prairie members have tried psychotherapy, but not all have a therapist today.
Because we don’t treat all psychiatric conditions, we endeavor to provide great options for people who reach out to us seeking care but are not a fit for our treatment program.
From coaching to primary care, if you think your service is a good fit for our members, we’d love to hear from you.
